DENOUNCED AS INHUMAN.
A DEMAND FOR ITS SUPPRESSION. London, November 5. - The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, in a letter to the Times, denounces the Aiistralian cattle traffic as inhuman. They point to the result of shipments by the Wooloornooloo, Perthshire, and Southern Cross as proving the necessity to suppress the trade. ~, Experts consider, that the cattle ex Maori, from Sydney, are of pool class. Only a few arrived in decent condition. , They also question the utility of send- v ing cows and heifers. •. :
