MINING.
GOLD SHIPMENT. Yesterday the National Bank of New Zealand shipped by the Tarawera, for Sydney, for transhipment to London, six boxes, containing 6585 ounces of bullion, valued at L 7500. MONTHLY RETURN OF WOODSTOCK .UNITED. On Wednesday Mr D. G Mac Donnell received from Mr McCombie, of Karangahake, the result of the month’s crushing for the Woodstock United, as follows : “ Banked L 789 worth of bullion from ,240' tons.” This is an %verage of L 3 5s 9d per ton. SOUTH BRITISH—MARINER—KARANGAHAKE. It has been decided to send Home the South British, the Mariner, and the Karangahake licensed holdings. The capital of the joint company is to be LI 50,000 in Ll shares, the present shareholders to get one share for three now held. The working capital to be pvovided is L 25,000. All three properties are situated at Karangahake, end On to each other, and the combined area will be 120 acres. ,
