KARANGAHAKE. (From our own Correspondent.) Woodstock United G. M. Co.: The management of this Company have at last made a start after some years of idleness. A contract for driving a cross-cut (to intersect the rich leader known as Shepherd’s) has been let to Clements and party at 17s 6d per foot. Moore and party (tributers in the Kenilworth section of the Company’s property) have 40 tons of first-class ore going through the rollers for sampling and assaying. I understand that this parcel has been purchased by Mr John Phillips, who intends to ship it to England at an early date. Adeline Amalgamated : Liddel and party (tributers) are having a parcel of 20 tons treated at the Christchurch Company’s Battery, they expect 5 or 6ozs per ton from it.
