PONY RACING IN SYDNEY.

The associated pony clubs in Sydney, viz., Rosehill, Moorefield, and Canterbury Park, have been putting their heads together, with the result that they have passed the following regulations, which are to come into force on Ist June : 1. No course shall be les3 than six furlongs in circumference, with one furlong of a straight run home to the winning post. 2. Not more than six races per day Bhall be given, with not less than two hundred pounds added money given by the club for any one day’s racing, 3. Not more than two “selling” racos shall be included in any one day’s programme, each of which not to represent more than one-fifth of

the total prize money. 4. No race shall he started after half past six o'clock p.ui. on tho day of racing. 5. The abovo shall apply to all Pony and Galloway Meetings held under the N.S.W. Rules of Racing (as adopted b> tho Associated Clubs) within a radius of 25 miles of the G.P.0., Sydney, and any Ponies, Galloways, or trotters taking part in any race or on any course not recognised by the Associated Clubs, or of a lesser cr oumfercnco thnn specified in sub-sec. I„ shall be disqualified from racing or training on tho Rosohill, Canterbury Park, and Moorefield racecourses, or any racecourse.under the control or management of tho associated clubs. 6. There shall be no race for ponies under 13 hands 2 inches in height. 7. The committee of the associated clubs shall have power to allot the days of racing to other clubs taking part under these rules within a radius of 25 miles of Sydney. 8. Any club wishing to be registered by the associated clubs snail, if approved of, pay a fee of one guinea. These regulations will prevent the pony racing at the Sydney Driving Park Club meeting and Lillie Bridge.
