By this week’s Australian mail Mr Thomas Morrin received a leter from Mr T. B. Merry, the American turf authority on breeding matters, asking him to endeavour to secure the service of the three stallions Nordenfeldt, Apremont, and Castor. If this could be done, he would have some of the mares he has purchased in Australia sent to Auckland and Christchurch and served by tho stallions named, to foal to American time. Mr Morrin has placed himself in correspondence with the owners of Nordenfeldt and Apremont, with a view to have Mr Merry’s wishes carried out.
