Wanted a General Servant, Mrs Tlott. Misses 0, Be\v, Hirst, Henderson, M. Lavery, and E. Bew. (No. f 104, Hoyle’s) ; fecitation, The Rainy Day, Master E. Pyne 5 duet, piano. The Sleigh Race, Misses Nixon ; song, Remember or Forgot, Miss West ; recitation, Somebody’s Darling, Master W Johnson 5 duet, Little Dock Sparrow, Misses Dobson and K. Harris ; recitation, Curfew Shall Not Ring To-night, Miss C. Nixon ; (No, 10, Hoyle’s) ; recitation, Young Teetotaller, Master A. Biggs. The proceedings closed withsinging and the benediction. The programme was really good and every item deservedly applauded. The duet hy Misses Dobson and Harris (little girls of very tender years) was splendidly rendered for two such wee mitos, and vociferously encored. Miss G. Maingav efficiently presided at the piano and harmonium during the evening. The Secretary (Rev T. A. Norrie) and Assistant-Secretary (Mr Simmon da) diserve great credit for the excellent irvannar in which all the arrangements for the meeting were carried out. Some new members were enrolled during the evening, At the close of the pub’ic proceedings a general meeting of the Committee was held, ih-; following being present: Rev J. Law (chairman), Rev T. A ; . Norrie, Mrs Tlott, Misses G Maingay, arid C. Nixon; Messrs Cochrnne, Simmowls, Tlott, Wild, and McCall. Some correspondence was dealt with, and general arrangements made iorjcariying on the work. ( i ( Messrs Simmonds and Wild very generously volunteerod to bear the expense of hire of piano for the monthly-public nroetiugs, wliicli offer wan accepted, arid a hearty vote of thanks accorded thJm for ancli very practical assistance in the ; good cause.
