(By Electric Telegraph). (from our own correspondent). LATEST FROM AUCKLAND. LAMENTABLE BOAT ACCIDENT NEAR AUCKLAND. THREE LIVES LOST. AUCKLAND, Last Night. A lamentable boating accident has occurred otf Huia, by which the following persons were drowned. It appears that Miss Laura Cow per, Miss Agnes Ly'ell. Captain Daniell’s, and twe lads named Dempsey and Lyell, went out boating. The party reached Huia where they were becalmed. They remained ..all right for some time when a sudden squall capsized the boat. Capt. Daniel Is and the two ladies were drowned. Mr Ly'ell, of Messrs Jackson and Russell, is brother of thedeceasecl young lady. Miss Cowper was a y r oung lady from Hamilton on a visit for a few days at Onohunga. Captain Daniells was formerly employed by Northern Steamship Company. EFFECTS OF TIIE DROUGHT, Mr Reynolds, of the Butter Company', in a conversation with a Star reporter, stated that the falling off of milk was quite fifty percent. In the whole of the Waikato districts the country was thoroughly parched. PRODUCE MARKET. W AIK ATO AMALG AM ATE D. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Gazette containing now electoral boundaries is published. It is understood that in the re-arrangement of electoral districts, twelve will disappear from the South Island and nine from the North Island ; whilst the names of some others have been altered. Amongst those erased are Ponsonhy, Rodney, Coromandel, one of the two Franklin’s, Waipa, Tauranga, etc. Of the constituencies amalgamated, Franklin now comprises the Counties of Raglan, Kawliia, West Taupo, Waipa, and Waikato, excepting that portion of the last named County, situated we-t of (Victoria Road, Cambridge) to Tanmhere. Hamilton is included within the boundaries of this electoral district ; also Nga>utiwahin, Te Awamutu, and Kihikihi. Thames electorate comprises Coromandel County, Borough of Thames, that portion of Hastings Riding, County of Thames, situated west of Waiwawa river and Taitoko stream ; Waiotahi Riding, County of Thames, nnd that part of Kaueranga Riding west of Augustus street, Shortlund. Te Arolia comprises the Counties of Piako anu Oliinemuri, the Ridings of Totara and Parawai, County of Thames, and that portion of Hastings Riding, Thames County, situate east of Taitoko stream and Waiwawa river, that portion of Kaueranga Riding, east of Augustus street, Shortland, together with Kuitoke and Te Puna Ridings, County otlauranga, Unit part of Waimapu river, and that part of Cambridge Riding, County Waikato, east of Victoria lioad, Borough of Cambridge, are included in this electoral district, also Te Arolia Town District.
