[From our own Correspondent.] At noon on Saturday, last., the Committee for the above District, held their quarterly meeting in the Public Hall. There were present : Messrs J. Phillips, junr», N. Dickey, E. Edwards, F. Lipsey, and J. Barrett. The election of Chairman was the first business. It was resolved on the motion of Mr Barrett, seconded by Mr Lipsey, that Mr E. The Clerk was instructed to write as desired.

On the motion of Mr Phillips, seconded by Mr Dickey, it was agreed that in future, without the privileges, etc., appurtaining to publican’s booth at sports, races, etc., when sold by auction were bought by a licensed person, that no conditional license would afterwards be issued in respect of such booth.
