A somewhat comical affair occurred recently in connection with the woman s rights movement in Paris. At a meeting of the French Woman’s League a resolution was warmly discussed as to whether men should be admitted to the meetings or not. Finally it was decided that it would be impossible for the dear creatures to carry on their deliberations without the presenco of members of the opposite sex, probably in order that they might be enlightened upon the eminently legislative capacity of the female mind, and so it was decided that men should be . admitted. Thereupon Mme. De Valsayre, the acknowledged leader of the woman’s rights movement in France, resigned in high dudgeon, and there is imminent danger that the League will go to pieces. Arsenal, with list up, started in the Carrick Plate, two miles, at the Carrick race meeting held on Boxing Day. He was rather fractious on the post, and when run ning near last in the early part of the race collided with a post and injured his foot. Yes! It is certainly true.
