THE BREEDING OF CUIRASSIER AND LADY NORTH.
One receives at times some delicate matters to deal with in the ‘‘To Correspondents”' column, and during the w'eek the following has been sent me ;—“ Auckland, January 9th, 1890. Dear sir,—To decide a wager, will you kindly answer through your sporting column which is the better bred racehorse—Lady Norah or Cuirassier ?- Yours, etc., Sport,” I have looked the pedigrees of both carefully through, and think the vote should go to Lady Norah, on the grounds that she is more fashionably bred on the sire’s side. Perhaps some of my readers would like to give an opinion on the subject.
