Oats Inn c ranged trom 2*4 d to 3s: mai/e, 2s 9KI to 3s: wheat, 3-> per bushel: chaff, £4 5s per ton. On Friday hoise stock were entered in full numbers; bidding wab irregular, and late \ nhies were not sustained. Pi ices for useful tli aught stock ragged from 4 :5 10s to €16, generally bi'tw ecu £8 and tlO 103 eaci. On Tuesday hides were better worth; best heavj ox hides lunged up to 4id per lb, or fully 30s each: cow hides. 2d to 2|n ; call skins, 4d to 4}d l er lb ; t illow, 22s to 14s 6d the c\\ t : butchers' sUins. 4s to 6s 2d ; dry skins. 2s 6d to 4s 9d each ; wool, in bags ana flumps, from b]d to 9d per lb. At the country cattle sale held at Pokeno, prices for store cattle were hrin and a good demand throughout, but at Drury bidding was comparatively slow, although not much, difference in the values obtained. Fresh-conditione j mown cattle in good inquiry, and joung cattle kept their lato values. At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cattle at profit weie better worth 10s each. Store cattle if all classes dull of sale, and lower in price, lat ea tie, in full number were also lower in price a'oui 5s euch. Prices were irom 14& to 153 the 1001b. Old potatoes on hand had to be sold at very lo>v pi ices and all to hand were not sold, new ones being so plentitul there is little demand for old; anj one still holding back had better give them to the pigs, as they will not pay the freight. Good new che >se mo\ 63 oir at 'fair prices. Nicely got up, well-cured bacon is in demand, but second-class and in f erior is difficult to get off at any price. A «ood quantuy of fresh butter was to hand, and brought satisfactory prices. Salt butter is still a drug. Honey is very quiet; vegetables have met with good* demand. Grain not in large demand. Groceiii's ha\e sild well. Fruit: A. iar°-e supply of green uooseberries. prices abo t the same as last week. \'ot a large supply of other kinds. We would again remind growers not to pu k too soon, and to taithfuhy pack in sma 1 cases. Furniture has been quiet. Poultry : A large number of fowls and ducks entered, prk-es have kept up to about equal to past, weeks; not a large number of peese entered, and but few turkojs. A large number of pigs entered; they were all of small size prices did not average quite so high. Theie have been only tour sales by auction tins ueek. Monday, dr.ipeiy. c'othmsr. etc., at the mart. A lair amount of business was > one. Wednesday, household furniture, etc.. at the mart. It was lairlv well attended, but bidding was languid ; not a very large quantity .sold.
