Te Aroha School Committee.
The ordinary monthly meeting O F the above Committee was hold on Monday evening in the school house. Present : R?v S. Lawry (Chairman), Messrs Menzio and Heathcote. Minutes of th 3 previous monthly meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence : From Board of Education, stating L 6 5s 7d, voted by (he Board to cover amount expended by the Committee in effecting the recent repairs of school fences, etc., bad been placed to the Committee's credit at the Bank N Z. From Mr W. H. P. Marsdon, head teacher, forwarding a further sum of LI 3s 8d (making a total of Ll3 3s 8d), as result of late entertainment by school children and others, towards cost of having school buildings, etc., re-painted. The monthly certificate showed the nurtiber on the roll, 166 (increase of 3), and average attendance for the past month 127 (increase of 6). The following accounts wore passed forpajment: Mrs Erasmus (cleaning), LI 3s4'l ; T. Hood (glazing), 9s. Messis Menzie and Heathcote wore appointed visiting Committee for the current month. This was «11 the business.
