Tirailleur is now installed a strong firs^ favourite for the New Zealand Cup, and with such a light weight as he is called en to carry, further speculation on the big Riccarton event till the day, must be paralysed. In local circles all available money was snapped up early in the week, and it is now hard to get 4 to 1 about the colt's chance.
