MR MORRINS TRIP.
Mr Thomas Morrin returned home this week. I had a conversation with him anent turf matters in New South Wales, and he tells me that when he left the Hon. J. White was in very delicate health. He visited Mr Andrew Town's stud farm as Hobartville, where he saw his much-be-loved Trenton, and he tells me his foals bear all the character of Musket's stock. Mr Morrin tried to lease Niagara, but his owner would not come to terms on these conditions, wishing to sell outright. Further, Mr Morrin witnessed Singapore win the A.J.C. Derby, and Abercorn the Metropolitan Stakes, and he thinks Martini-Henry's son is also capable of annexing the Victorian Derby, despite the fact that the stable fancy Dreadnought.
