Christchurch, Sept. 27. THE LATE HON. W. ROBINSON'S HORSES.
There was a large attendance ab the sale of the balance of the Hon. W. Robinson's horses to-day. The greatest competition was for Chainshot, the four-year-old son of Musket and Locket, who was eventually secured by Mr R. Ray for 450 guinea 3. Exchange (by St. George— Rupee) and Heather Bell (by. Albany — A thole) were knocked down to Mr T. Hungerford, of Greymouth, at 150 guineas and 75 guineas respectively. The auctioneer, Mr Pyne, explained that he had sold Merrie England privately, by order of the executors, but greatly against his advice.
