Tue third day's racing took place to-day. There was a splendid attendance. Resuits :—: — Cravek Plate, a sweepstakes of lOsovs each, 1 forfeit, with 500sovs added. Second horse lOOsovs from the prize. For threeyearolde and upwards. One mile and a quarter. — Hon. J. White's eh h Abercorn, syrs, by Chester — Cinnamon, 9st 41b (Hales), 1 ; Mr P. Butler's b h Man ton, 4yrs, 9st (Harris), 2 ; Hon. J. White's b q Sinecure, 3yrs, 7st 61b (Huxley), 3 Melos (9st) and Plenty (7st 91b) were the only other starters. Betting : 4 to 1 on Abercorn, 5 to 1 against Melos, 10 to 1 the rest. Manton and Sinecure jumped to the front at the start, and when fairly set going the latter took up the running. At the mile post Mr White's colt was leading by eight lengths from Manton, and six furlongs from home had increased the distance to twelve lengths. Sinecure then began to tire, and the others caught him fast. At the turn Abercorn disposed of the field and won easily by four lengths, Manton being half a length in front of Sinecure. Time, 2min Il6ec. Second Foal Stakes, 20sovs each. One mile and a-quarter. (122 subscribers.) Hon. J. White's b q Rudolph, by Martini -Henry — Rusk, 1 ; Mr T. Lamond's b c Sydney, 2. These were the only starters. Rudolph won easily by two lengths. Time, 2min 16^sec. The Wycomke Stakes, a sweepstake of ssovs. each, with 350sovs. added. Second horse to receive lOOsovs. from the prize. One mile and three-quarters. — Hon. J. White's eh c Dreadnought, 3yrs, by Chester —Trafalgar, 7stslb, Ist; Mr J. H. Want's eh q The Tyler, 3yrs, 7st 21b, 2nd ; Hon. W. A. Long's eh c Daniel, 3yrs, 7st 51b, 3rd. These were the only starterp. Dreadnought won with the greatest of ease. Time, 3min. 15sec. Suburban Handicap, a handicap eweepstakes of ssovs each, 1 forfeit, with 200sovs added. For three-year-olds and upwards. Second horse 50sovs from the prize. Lowest weight, 7st. Seven furlongs. — Ringdove, 7st, 1 ; Bernardo, 9st 71b, 2 ; Pugilist, 7st 41b, 3. horses started. Won by a length. Time, lmin. 20sec. The Sydney Handicap, a handicap sweepstakes of ssovs each, with 500sovs added. For three-year-olds and upwards. Second horse lOOsovs from the prize. One mile and a-half. — Jack, 7st 91b, 1 ; Novice, 7st 21b, 2 ; Ellerdale, 7st 91b, 3. There were 12 other starters. This event produced a great race to the distance post, where Jack came away from the ruck and won by a length. Time, 2min 41isec.
