THE FIRST NEWS
of the Dart came to hand at 11 o'clock a.m. on the 30th ult., a telegram from South Head stating that she was 15 miles oil the Head and apparently under sail. Tho strong westeily wind blowing prevented her making much headway, and it was nc^b until halt- past 1 o'clock in tho aftornoon that she entered the port, steam having in the meantime been gob up to enable her to pick up her moorings. Ab might be expected, more than ordinary inteiost was evinced in the arrival of the a ossel. Quite a crowd assembled on the diflerent headlands of Farm Cove to obcain a glance of the little .shin, and theofh'cers of the warships in port weie ready to ofter congratulations upon the safo airival of Commander Fredericks and his crew.
