ACCIDENTALLY BURNED.

About noon yesterday a three- year-oKI son oF MrPat Hogan, of Waiorongomni, leceived very severe injuries by burning; It appears the chilli's mother left the house for a few moments on some errant! , leaving the little hoy playing- about a* home, and during her short absence he went to the fire, anil his clothes became ignited, and when his mother returned home she found the little fellow in a sad plight. She quickly extinguished the fire from the boys clothes, but not before he hail received very severe injuries, being badly burnt, more particularly about the chest and throat. Dr Cooper was sent for, nnd did what he could to relieve the little sufferer, but the shock to the Bys tern has be<Mi very great, and fears are entertained with respect to the child's recovery.
