AN AUCK LAND ON HIS TRAVELS.
Mr C. L. Garland, M.L.A., who will leave to-day for New Zealand, en route for America and England, entertained the committee of the Sydney Land Nationalisation Leag-ue, of which he is President, afc the Empire Hotel last evening, to a farewell dinner. An address to Henry George, which had been prepared by the secretary afc the instance of the committee, was then read, after which it was signed by all present. Mr Garland was also presented wibh credentials to the leaders of the movement in America and England. In reply, Mr Garland promised to do his utmost to induce Mr George to visit the colonies. For his own part, he was determined to study up the various phases of the question wherever he went, and he felt sure that on his return he would be able to tell them, and they would be able to tell him, fchafc the movement had mads wonderful strides all over the world. — " Sydney Morning Herald. 1 '
