JOHN BRIGHT. DEBATE IN THE COMMONS. THE INTERMENT.
London, March 30. J In the House of Commons to-day Mr j McC-irihy, in the absence of Mr Parnell, eulogised the late Mr Bright. He said that it was impossible to forget the splendid services rendered to the nation by Mr Bright, and claimed the right of Ireland to deposit a mourning wreath upon the tomb of the great statesman. At the funeral of the late Mr Bright, which took place to-day, the Queen sent a, wreath from Burritz. The Hon. Mr Cnamberrain was amongst those present, as v\ C ie also a numbti of workmen, whw acted as pallbearers. A memorial service was held at Westminster Cathedral, at which Lord Harrington, the Hon. Mr Childer-, and the equerry to the Prince of Wales were present. The Dsan preached an eloquent sermon, in the course of which he eulogised the deceased and expressed regret that the interment could not take place at the Abbey. ** 9
