CHARGE OF FRATRICIDE. THE PREMIER DETERMINED. Gisborne, 2.30 p.m.
It is understood that the Premier is fully determined that under no circumstance shall Te Kooti be allowed to come into the district. The Government have been in a difficulty respecting the best method to pursue to bar Te Kooti's progress and jet to act j>within the law. The problem has, how- ' ever, been satisfactorily sol\ eel. I have it on the best authority that To Kooti will be arrested by the A.C. force on a charge of fiatiicide, the accusation against him being that he threw his brother from the vessel which was conveying them both from Chatham Islands when they made thei r escape. It is evident that the Government wiU not stand any nonsense, and the excitement here is consequently growing intense.
