TE KOOTI FEARLESS AND CONFIDENT. Opotiki, February 21.

Te Kooti spent lasb night at W aiotahi. On his arrival there several Europeans attended the pah to have a look at him. They were ordered to take their hats off, and stop smoking, as a mark of respect due to the leader. Te Kooti will be joined al Omaramutu, where he intends camping tonight, by overahundredof the Opanui. He will probably leave for Gisborne on Sunday. He looks upon the threats of the Gisborne people as mere bounce, and tells his followers with confidence that he will be back at a certain date to attend a meeting at VYaimana.
