SALE OF THE LETTERS. MR HOUSTON'S EVIDENCE. London, February 19.

The examination of Houston, Secretary of the Patriotic League, was continued before the Parnell Commission to-day. He admitted that he hud employed Pigotl in 1885 and 1886 in obtaining materials for the pamphlet, " Parnellism Unmasked." Piofessor Maguire, he said, advanced ;£Boo to remunerate Pigott, while others advanced He applied to Mr Buckle, editor of the "Times," with the letters in 1885, but without success, but reapplied again in 1886, when he was successful in disposing of them. Pigott was paid for the letters and for expenses, but witness had not profited by the sale.
