THE ANGLICAN SYNOD Dunedin, Feb. 16.

At the Anglican Synod to-day, a motion to amend the canon to allow a bishop to take part in the deliberations of the Board of Nominators was negatived. Several select committees were appointed, including one to take into consideration the steps being taken to advance the religious education of the young. A Bill to permit of persons being elected churchwardens who do not reside in the parish, was rejected by a majority of all the orders.
