Wesleyan Church Soiree
The anniversary soiree in connection with the Te Aroha Wesleyan Church was held in the Publio Hall on Wednesday evening last. The wea-« ther proved fine, and there was a good attendance, a large number from the surrounding districts being present. There were three tables laid out in a most tasteful manner; and loaded with good things especially provided for the occasion ; in fact, the general excellence of the ( spread' was favourably commented on by those present. The tables were presided over by Mesdames Lawry, Hirst, Ilott, Harris, Griffiths, and Misses King and Gribble. Mr J. A. Dobson presided at the after meeting, which was opened with a short prayer.
