He now wished to tender his resignation .as Chairman of the Board. It was pntirely owing to a mistake on his part that the meeting had not been held on the proper date, as he was under the impression that the annual meeting for the election of Chairman should take place in January, and lie did not know the time was changed until Mr Wilson pointed it out. To his mind die Hot Springs were the main stay of Te Aroha, and would last out all the mining, in fact, aftpr the mining was all done they would still have their baths, and therefore they should all do the best they could for the baths. Mr Wilson drew the attention of the Board to the ti-trea growing up the face of the hill, and thought it should be cut down and burned, so as to prevent fire i spreading imo the Domain. Resolved that the work be left in the hands of Mr Lipspy to have parried out. Mr Ahier asked if the Board could legally support the Band by a small contiilmtion fo piny in the Domain. Mr Wilson thought they could. Mr Ahier then gave notice of motion thac at the next monthly meetinsr of the Domain Board he would move : " That arrangements be made with the Band to play iv the Domain on certain evenings during the summer months.
