In Sydney it is feared that unless there is immediate rain thousands of stock nuut perish at Warialda. There are in this] district, which is 380] miles north of Sydney about 45.000 head cattle, 780,000 sheep, and 8,832 horses. BRISBANE, January 18. Distressing accounts are being received from Darling Downs, the southern, western, and interior districts. The heat is excessive, the crops are dying, and what water there is, rapidly disappearing.
