REVIVAL OF THE SHARON CASE.

An extraordinary scene occurred in the United States Circuit Court-room, San Francisco, on September 3rd. At that time Justice Meld delivered a decision overruling demurrers to a revival of the Sharon case, and ordered that the same be revived in the name of Frederick VV. Sharon, plaintiff, as executor, and against Sarah Althea (Hill) Terry and David S. Terry, her husband, defendants. When the Judge came to that part of his decision where r.he necessity of cancelling and destroying the alleged marriage contract with Sharon during his'life time was set forth, Mrs Terry sprang to her feefc, and cried out, "Judge Field, do you intend to order me to &u i render my contract?" "Sit down, madame," replied the Justice. Terry pulled his wife by the arm and told her to bit clown, but instead of doing so, she screamed out, " Judge Field, how much have you been paid for that decision ?" " Marshal," said the Judge, in a cold, deliberate tone of voice, and turning to the Court official, " remove that woman from the Court-room.'' Instantly there was a scene of the wildest confusion. The marshal and his deputies approached the fi antic woman to execute the order of the Court. Tei'ry interfered, and forbade the Mar&bal to touch his wife, and when the official grabbed the hu&band, the latter struck him a heavy blow in the face. The deputies then bore Terry to the floor. Meanwhile his wife was raging like a madwoman, and fought against being taken into custody. She threw her satchel (which was afterwards found to contain a loaded revolver) to a friend, and shrieked out all sorts of threats to and imprecations on Judge Field. She shook her clenched fist towards him, and yelled : " Judge Field, you have been paid by Frank Newlands" (son-in-law of Sharon, deceased) "to como out here and do this." Finally, after a tremendous struggle the woman was taken to the marshal's office on the other side of the corridor and locked in one of therooms While this was being done, Terry j came out into the corridor to see what was being done with his wile. He drew a long knife and by a semi-circular sweep with it, cleared his way to the marshal's office, the people leaving his path precipitately. At the door he met with a check in the shape of a deputy marshal Avith a pistol held in a direct line with the desperate lawyer's heart. "If you use that knife I'll kill you," said the deputy calmly. The other deputies also displayed weapons, and the pighb was too much even for his fire-eating character. He lowered the knife and requested to be with his wife. This was granted, and he was locked up with her. Later the Judge committed Terry to gaol for six months and his wife for thirty jlays for contempt of Court.
