A GANG OF OUTLAWS WIPED OUT.
In a sanguinary battle between outlaws and vigilantes, near Paloduro, Armstrong County. Texas, on September Ist, seventeen of the desperadoes and three vigilantes were killed. The former camped near the breaks of Deer Creek, and announced they were going to catch wild horses, The vigilantes believed they were there to steal wild animals, and formed a cordon round fcheir camp. They sent forward six men demanding an inspection of the wild horses. The I'eply was a volley. The committee retired and then the trouble began. A muiderons fu&ilade was commenced on the camp trom every dii'ection, and was kept up until the return lire was completely silenced. Approaching cautiously the vigilantes saw sixteen outlaws dead, while a seventeenth was writhing in agony. An inspection of the dead provt d that some of the most noted desperadoes of the border had met their deserts.
