PRESENTATION TO MRS MARSDON.

On Monday afternoon last a pleasing ceremony was performed in the Te Aroha Public school, viz. , the presentation to Mrs Marsdon (who has retired from professional duties), with a souvenir from the children of the school, in kindly remembrance of the care and attention which she has bestowed upon them during the four years she has been connected with the school as assistant teacher, and as a mark of the high esteem in, whiph she was held by them. The gift took the form of a set of napkin rings of silver inlaid in gold, artistically engraved in pretty and "quaint designs, and a preserve dish, with silver embellisments. The presentation was made in the girls 7 sohoolroom, in the presence of the Rev. Jas. Marshall, the Misses A. and I. Marshall, Mulgan, and Hoald, and some of the parents of the children. Miss M, .Emerson read the address, which" was as follows :—: — To Mrs Marsdon, Dear Madam, — We, the children attending the Te Aroha school, and their friends, desire to express to you our sincern regret upon your severing connection with this school.
