MINING NEWS. WAIORONGOMAI.
Tk Aroha S. and G. M. Co :— Mr Howell, the mining expert from America, who, accompanied by Mr H. M. Adams, left. Waiorongomai for Auckland on this day week, purposing to leave for Sydney by steamer on the Tuesday following, acting under recent advices by cablegram postponed his departure for a. fortnight Mr Howell is now staying at Karanjrahake with Mr Alex. Parke«, in order that he may investigate the Parkes rvocess of extracting the piecious install. At the battery the 40 stampers are at work one shift. The furnace and failings plant are also kept, steadily going. Pending the erection of the new plant, work in the mines will piincipally consist in pushing on with the low levels now being put in ; and otherwise opening up the ground. Tendeis for the constriction of two more sections of the water race extension will bo called for next week.
