TIMARU, Last Night. Very heavy rain fell in this district last night. The train from Fairlie Creek was snowed up there yesterday morning 1 , but managed to get away this morning. Fifteen inches of snow was on the line, and after being delayed at several points the train was finally stuck§ up on the level plains after passing Pleasant point, and had to return here owing to the water being over the line.
