TE AROHA.
Mr Parks left for Karangahake on Tuesday last, to superintend the commencement of operations at that place in connection with the erection of a furnace according to Mr Parkes ideas in the La Monte furnace house ; and which work is referred to in our Ohinomuri correspondents report which appears in another column. Water race, furnace house, tramway to minoo, fuel fluxes, pf.n,, being all ready to hand at Karangahake (since the erection of the La Monte Furnace) it is expected smelting may be commenced in less than two months from now.
