OHINEMURI. (From Our Own Correspondent )

The Ohinemnri School Committee held its usual monthly meeting on Saturday evening last. Present : Messrs Lipsoy f Ulinirmnn), Edwards, (Secretary), Coo to and Shaw. An application was read from the residents of Kangiova and Nethorton, praying that a school be constituted there, there being twentyone children of school age in the district, and the residents are prepared to donate a suitable site for a school house, and the sum of £20 towards a building. rll»er ll»e matter was ordered to stand over until the annual election had taken place, which takes place on Monday next. It is understood that Mr J. IT. Moore has resigned his position as a licensing commissioner. The Governor will probably nominate Mr F. Cock, to the position, ho being highest among the unsuccessful candidates at the recent election. I am informed by the County Chairman that there is every probability of ihe Warden's Court being constituted for Ohinemnri. The Hon. Mr Fisher lias signified that ho will support any application thai may be made For it, anil as the cost to the Government will be extremely trivial, it is quite likely that the Com t will be sitting here, ft Clerk and Roceiver appointed, and the whole thing in full swing in a month or two.
