TE AROHA.

Much public interest is being directed to this portion of the field jnst now, and tliero is every probability that capital, on a large scale, will ere long be invested for the purpose of working the extensive valuable reefs, already unearthed, and in the erection of suitable machinery. Mr E. Cameron, so well known in mining circles as a most indefatigable and experienced prospector, has been steadily engaged for the pa&t two years in putting in a low level in the May Bell mine, prospecting, and other works ; and deserves to reap a rich reward for the plucky manner in which he has persevered in the face of so many obstacles. But Mr Cameron has unbounded confidence in the prosperity that awaits the Tui as a mining district in the near future ; and is now engaged in bagging and sending away to Adelaide for treatment some 5 tons of ore from his claim, the May 8011. As further practical evidence of whatMr Camerons opinion of Tui is, after being constantly ens aged at work there for over two years past, it is only necessary to add that he last week pegged off and applied for a special claim of 40 acres, adjoining the May Bell. We heartily wish him the rich reward he so well deserves for his indominitable pluck and enterprise. Within the past week applications for two special claims at Tui, have boon made by Me«srs C. A. Corncs, and W. Bailey, particulars respecting which will be found in our advei Using columns today.
