Attempt to Wreck a Train.

At about dusk, near a culvert of about a quarter of a milff *from the Bulli station, Logan and Co.'s ballaafc train ran over a heavy slab placed across the rails. The train must have fallen with its freight of about ninety navvies into the creek below, had it not been that the break-van preceded the waggons, and by its weight prevented the latter from being capsized and dragging over the engine which propelled them. A youth whp was seen sitting on an adjacent fence made off after the accident. The brain officials gave chase, but failed to capture him. A lad answering his description was subsequently arrested on suspicion.
