Massacre at New Guinea-
The missionary 6choorier EJlangowan has arrived afc Townsville from Port Moresby. Captain Kennes confirms the news that a
Tanaki native teacher, his child, and three others were killed at Motu Motu by Moritiians, who are at emnity with the Motuans. The Morinians came upon Tanaki and party in canoes in great numbers, and lired a big flight of arrows, sticking eight into Tanaki, soven into his wife, and two into bits child, and killing thiee of Tanaki's companions, as well as himself and .child. His wife survived. An expeditionary force f«ent by Mr John Douglas, the Special Commissioner, crossed the river and killed 14 Morinians.
