Deliberate Attempt to Murder.
Michael Quinlan, greengrocer, Villierssbreet, Hotham, made a deliberate attempt to murder his wife. The woman remonstrated with her husband for beating their son. Thereupon the man knocked her down, and then shot her in the groin with a revolver. Quinlan was arrested and the wounded woman was taken to the hospital. Her depositions were taken, as it is very unlikely she will recover. ,
