There is nothing of importance to chronicle respecting mining matters at Waiorongomai since our last week's report. Hapid progress is being 1 made in connection with the new phmt at Messrs. Firth and Clarkes battery, the revolving furnace being now permanently in position, and the lire place and discharging compartments three parts built, etc. Ten of the berdans, removed from the battery house, have heen re- erected in their new position in the tailing plant Inulding , and the remainder will bo in position in a few days Work is progressing much, as usual, on the hill.
