Paeroa, F rid ay. KARANGAHAKE. Adeline : A 20 ton parcel of quartz from this mine is now in course of transit to Thames, to be crushed at the Moanatairi battery. Moanastery. — Forty tons of quartz from this claim was last week finished treating at llailey's mill, but the return has not been made public. Ivanhoe : Nothing has yet been done towards repairing the damage to the water race, leading to tins Company's battery.
WA.IHL Winner : In the early part of this week a large body of quartz was met with in the mait adit level, which is now in a distance of 520 ft, the present face being fully 200 ft below the surface. The lode is believed to be identical with the one in the surface workings ; but as yet little i 9 known as to its valve. Martha Extended. — Good headway is being made with the repairs to this company's water race, and, weather permitting, the battery should be in a position to make afresh start in another ten days time.
WAITEKAUBI. Hollis and party, tributers in the Wnitekauri mine, are keeping 12 head of stampers fully employed in the reduction of quartz, which is shaping for a payable return. Tom Hollis, one of the party, left hero on Wednesday last for Africa 3 where he inten Js to try his luck on the goldfields.
