The steady rain fall, however has provided an ample supply of motive power for the present^ and work was resumed on Wednesday night, and both battery and tailings plant are now again running full time ; 30 head of stampers for New Find, 10 for Colonist. Retorting took place this week as follows : Colonist. 100 trucks, 58oz gold ; Canadian, 47 trucks, 20oz gold. Total : 730z retorted gold. This is the first general retort since the XnlrtS holidays, but, owing to the continued drought, and lack of water, very little crushing has been done. Retorting for the New Find \Vill probably take place next week.
