Melbourne, this day.— The revenue of this colony during the quarter ended yesterday amouuted to £1,530,000 an increase of £112,000 compared with the September quarter of last year, but £90,000 below the quarter's proportion of the Treasurer's estimate fer the current year. Adelaide, October 2. —The South Australian revenue for the past quarter amounted to £408,000, a decrease of £122,000 compared with the corresponding quarter ».last year. In the House of Assembly, the proposals submitted by the Government to amend the Land Act in order to cover the deficiency in the revenue were rejected.
