WAITEKAURI
Hollis and party tributers in the Waitekauri mine have completed the work of timbering their level and are now driving both ways upon the course of the reef which varies from 2 feet 9 inches to 6ffc in thickness 1 ! There is a large parcel of stone to hand and crushing operations will be resumed next week. From the other mines there is not ranch of importance to chronicle ; in all of them the usual work i 3 going on with very satisfactory results. Welcome. — Biruey and party owners of this mine completed at tbe Maungakara battery yesterday a crushing of 25 tons of general quartz from which they obtained the payable return of 26 ounces retorted gold.
