Paeroa, Friday. The following is a copy of a an illuminated address presented to Mrs A. J. Thorp nee Mi3S A. S. Horgan, late assistant teacher of the Paeroa Public School : — We, the undersigned members of the Ohinemuri School Committee, on the occasion of your resigning your position as assistant teacher in the Paeroa School, desire to express our regret at the loss the school will sustain thrjughyour resignation. During the several years that you hare been attached to the teaching staff of the Paeroa School, we have had frequent proof of your diligent and efficient teaching, and we feel confident that the parents of children attending the school (and the children themselves) will join with, us in wishing you prosperity and happiness in .your future sphere. OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL At a special meeting of the Board of Works of the above council, held in the County Chambers on Wednesday last, tenders for road works in different parts of the county were dealt with as follows :—: — Maintenance Main Road, No. 5 section, and spreading metal at per yard.
