THE TUHU A GOLDFIELD.
Wellington, Dec. 22. I have been shown specimens of gold said to have been discovered at Tuhua, Upper Mokau, and it is rumoured that the Government have set aside a sum of £500 for the discovery of a payable goldfield in the North Island, that the reward will be claimed to-day, and the locality discovered to the Government. I have been unable to get the rumour confirmed.
