FIRE ON SHIPBOARD.
Oamaru, December 20. Shortly after two o'clock yesterday afternoon, fire was discovered in the forehold of tho ship Marlbcrough, which has nearly completed leading frozen meat for London. By means of the ship's engines and hose tho fire was quickly extinguished. A quantity of frozen meat was damaged, but the vessel suffered little injury.
