J f Air Locke is acquitted it is understood that Messrs Ciraham and Porter will retire, leaving tho contest between Messrs. The prospects of the latter are much improved by AJr Stewarts withdrawal. Waii'A. — Alajur Jackson addressed a crowded meeting of electors in the Public Hall, Hamilton, last night. He answered a number of questions satisfactorily, and at the close received a vote of confidence by a majoiity. Air Lake, his opponent, has held nuecessUd meetings at the various centres of population. AJajov .Jackson addressed the Ohaupo electors to-day, and was accorded votes of thanks and confidence by a large majority in the enemy's reputed stronghold. Frank mx North. — AJr Bucldand has addressed meetings at Turanga, Woodfcide, and I'apakura Valley, receiving votes of confidence at each place. Frank UN South, July 15. — Alessrs Hamlin and AlcFadden were nominated. The show of hands was in favour of Air Hamlin. Air AlcFadden then retired and Air Hamlin was declared elected.
