LATEST TELEGRAMS. (By Electing Telegraph.) From Our Own Correspondent. MARRIAGE OF A TE AROHA RESIDENT. Thames, Thursday.

To-dny, at 12.30, Mr George Burgess, agent for the -Bank of New Zealand, Te Aroha, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Miss Amelia J'robert. Both bride and bridegroom had been tor some years members of St. George's choir, and the ceremony was performed in that church by the Uev. Mr French, a late arrival trom Melbourne ; the church being thronged with spectators. The bride was given away by her father, an old and highly respected resident of the Thames Mr F. Burgess, Mining .Registrar, Thames, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man, and the bridesmaids were Mrs Walters and Miss Ada Probert sisters of the bride. The choir of the church were present in full force, and performed full choral service. The anthem "1 will lift up mine eyes " was sung as the wedding party went into the vestry, and the organist performed Mendelsohn's " Wedding March " as they detiled through the church. When the newly-married couple reached the door they were greeted with a perfect hail of rice. The couple leave for their honeymoon tlrs afternoon.

THAMES MINLNJ NEWS. Thames, Last Night. New Prince Imperial : An improvement is noticeable in the winze on No. 2 reef below No. 5 level. Several pounds of picked stone are coming to hand to-day. The winze is now GO feet in depth, and has carried good prospects the whole distance, from which it is very evident there is a large block of payable ground yet to be opened at the lower level. The sinking of the shaft is likely to be undertaken shortly. Queen of Beauty : A promising leader has been discovered at No. 10 level. It apparently corresponds with the gold bearing body which detaches from the main roof sit No. 9 level in the vicinity of the run of gold worked some eighteen months a<>o. It is nine inches wide, and carries very promising varieties of mineral. Caledonian Low Level : Pipes for convoying compressed air arc being fixed in the Big Pump shaft, and a tunnel at the 650 level will be commenced next j week.
