THE BOROUGH SWIMMING BATHS.

(To The Editor.) Sir, —May I ask whether the Public Health Officer is aware of the insanitary state of the Taihape Swimming Baths. If so, why does he permit the public to use them? Water, in such popular baths, should be xe_ newed at least once a week. How is it that the Swimming Baths have been -Spell several weeks, and the water, so far, has never been changed? We are being told that it is lack of water. Surely, if the Swimming Club had not been quite sure of its water supply, it would never have issued season tickets. If the Baths cannot be supplied with fresh at once, measures should be taken to prevenT"~ffie public from swimming in soup.—l am, etc., HIGH JEAN.
