AMERICA’S NAVY. WASHINGTON, Dec. 12. Mr Daniels, in tlie annual report other three years of naval building, beginning in 1924, aand involving the construction of vessels. If the United States does not enter the League or a similar world organisation the present navy would be inadequate. The report characterises Hawaii as the cross road and hey to the Pacific and recommends the creation there of a fleet base capable of accommodating the entire American Navy with all its auxiliaries. ANTARCTIC EXPLORATION. Received 1.10 p.m. MONTE VIDEO, Dec. 14. Cope has sailed for Hope Bay, where the main body of his expedition is awaiting. All difficulties have been overcome.
